Hey folks,

I’ve been managing a few client sites on a cPanel-based hosting setup, and while the built-in backup tool has been okay, it’s starting to feel a bit too limited for my needs. A few weeks ago, one of my scheduled backups failed without any warning, and I didn’t realize it until I needed to restore — talk about a close call 😬

I’m now looking for a more robust and flexible backup solution that can either integrate with cPanel or work independently. Ideally, I want something that supports automated scheduling, remote storage (like Google Drive or AWS), and easy restores. Bonus points if it’s beginner-friendly for less tech-savvy clients.

Have any of you moved away from the default cPanel backup system? What are you using instead — JetBackup, Acronis, something custom? I’d love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve had to do a full site restore and it actually worked smoothly.

Appreciate any insights or recommendations!
