Running out of storage on a free hosting plan is a common issue, especially if you're uploading lots of media or managing a growing site. While free hosting comes with strict limits, there are a few smart ways to maximize or extend your storage without upgrading to a paid plan.
• First, optimize your files. Compress images before uploading using tools like TinyPNG or ImageOptim. Use lightweight themes and only install essential plugins to avoid unnecessary bloat.
• Second, offload large files to external platforms. For example, host videos on YouTube or Vimeo and embed them on your site. Use services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Imgur to store large documents or images, then link to them instead of uploading directly.
• Third, clean up your site regularly. Delete unused themes, plugins, media, or backup files that aren’t essential. This can free up a surprising amount of space.
• Finally, some hosting providers offer bonus storage if you refer users, stay active, or engage in their community. Check if your host has such a program.
If your project grows, consider moving to a budget-friendly paid plan, as even the cheapest ones offer significantly more storage and features.

My advice would be go for paid plans..
If your site requires more storage, then it clear indication of your site growth. So you can simply move on to premium or paid plan which will be good for your site..
