I love that it gives detailed live traffic reports and lets you block IPs manually. It’s also super beginner-friendly — you can start seeing security insights almost instantly after installation. But keep in mind, since it runs on your server, it may slightly impact performance on low-resource hosting.

Sucuri, on the other hand, is more of a cloud-based bodyguard. Its firewall sits between the internet and your site, blocking threats before they even hit your server. This has noticeably improved my site speed and stopped brute force attacks cold. Sucuri is especially great for DDoS protection and post-hack cleanup — and their support team is top-notch.

Bottom line:
  • Choose Wordfence if you want in-depth, on-site protection with detailed reports.
  • Choose Sucuri if you want cloud-level protection, performance boost, and you're okay paying a bit more for peace of mind.
